Award Winning Baseball Films

Fields of Vision and Eye Candy Cinema, two award-winning, full service film production companies based in Boston, began working on Touching the Game in the spring of 2003. The photography was conducted by Eric Scharmer and Anthony Keel of Eye Candy Cinema, and the producing, editing and writing were conducted by Jim Carroll and Peter Frechette of Fields of Vision. The four have acclaimed careers in television and documentary filmmaking.

The Cape Cod Project led to to the Alaska Project and now, 4 years later, the second film under the Touching the Game brand has become a reality.

Notable projects include “Cinderella in Black, The 1987 Providence College Final Four Friars” produced for Providence College, “Celebrating 100 years of Harvard Stadium”, produced for Harvard University and televised on WB56, and “The Nobska”, a documentary on the storied steamship, which was selected to run at the 2003 Woods Hole Film Festival. Frechette and Scharmer also filmed and produced segments for “Still We Believe: The Boston Red Sox Movie”.
