Bio
A special member of the Futures League family, Keenan was a former Franklin Pierce University and UMass Lowell player who joined the Seacoast Mavericks in the Futures League's inaugural season. He passed away suddenly on June 6, 2011, due to an undiagnosed rare heart condition called Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC). He was an amazing individual that exhibited sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and passion for the game of baseball, and his legacy lives on through the Adam Keenan Foundation and the Futures League's Adam Keenan Sportsmanship & Scholarship Award. The prestigious annual award is bestowed upon the Futures League players from each league franchise who exemplify the outstanding attitude, character and sportsmanship that is synonymous with Adam Keenan’s legacy.
