The Season is Here!

ROCKLAND, Mass. 一 The start of another Futures League season is here.
The league's 16th season of summer collegiate baseball around New England begins bright and early on Wednesday, May 27. At 10:30 a.m., the Nashua Silver Knights will host the Vermont Lake Monsters at Historic Holman Stadium, while the Worcester Bravehearts make the short trip west to Bullens Field to battle the Westfield Starfires.
Wednesday's lone evening game is a highlighted one, as the Lowell Spinners make their Futures League debut with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against the New Britain Bees at New Britain Stadium.
After becoming the first back-to-back-to-back championship in Futures League history last summer, the Norwich Sea Unicorns will begin their quest for four in a row when they renew their in-state series with New Britain on Thursday. The Thursday slate also sees Worcester's home debut against Vermont at Fitton Field.
Friday marks the return of summer baseball to Lowell's LeLacheur Park, where the Spinners will tangle with nearby rival Nashua for the first time. Rounding out the week of home openers on Saturday, Vermont makes its season debut at Delta Dental Diamond at Centennial Field against New Britain before Norwich welcomes Westfield to Dodd Stadium.
